Sound moderators (also known as silencers or suppressors) reduce firearm noise and muzzle flash for a quieter, more comfortable shooting experience. At Livens, we stock a wide range of premium moderators from leading brands including Stalon, Hausken, HQS, Evolve, Wildcat, RCC Rimfire, ASE, SAK and more, for both rimfire and centrefire firearms.

Crime and Policing Act 2026 – Important Changes

From 30 June 2026, sound moderators are no longer classified as Section 1 firearms, simplifying the purchasing process.

What’s Changed

• No variation required – You no longer need an available slot on your FAC or SGC.
• No certificate endorsement – Moderators are no longer entered onto your certificate.
• Online sales & home delivery – Order online and have your moderator delivered directly to your home. Click & Collect and RFD-to-RFD transfers are no longer required.

What Hasn’t Changed

• A valid FAC or SGC is still required to purchase and possess a sound moderator, and we must verify your certificate before dispatch.
• As a Registered Firearms Dealer, we continue to store all moderators securely in accordance with Home Office requirements.
• We maintain full acquisition and disposal records for compliance and audit purposes.

Ordering Online

1. Place your order through our website.
2. Email a clear photo or scan of your valid FAC or SGC to orders@livens.co.uk.
3. Ensure your certificate name and address match your order details. Once verified, your moderator will be dispatched directly to your address.
