This is Lapua’s factory-loaded match round for the 6.5 Creedmoor, built around their well-regarded 136 grain Scenar-L Open Tip Match bullet. It’s aimed squarely at competitive shooters — whether you’re shooting PRS, long-range silhouette, or any accuracy discipline where consistency really counts.
The Scenar-L has been around since 2013 and has quietly become one of the go-to bullets for mid and long-range 6.5 mm shooting. Lapua have now taken that projectile and wrapped it in a complete, ready-to-shoot cartridge.

Lapua recommends a 1-8.5″ twist rate. Most modern 6.5 Creedmoor rifles come with a 1-8″ twist as standard, which will stabilise this bullet comfortably.
Can I use this for hunting?
The Scenar-L is an Open Tip Match bullet designed for target shooting, not hunting. It is not recommended for use on game.
