Barnes VOR-TX LR .270 Winchester 129gr LRX BT Ammunition
Barnes VOR-TX LR ammunition is factory-loaded with a 129-grain LRX BT (Long Range eXpanding Boat Tail) bullet, designed for hunting at extended ranges.
The LRX bullet features an all-copper construction, polymer tip and boat-tail base. Its streamlined profile is designed to provide a high ballistic coefficient, helping to retain velocity and reduce trajectory drop over longer distances.
The bullet is designed to expand on impact, forming multiple petals to provide penetration and effective energy transfer. Its monolithic copper construction also offers high weight retention, helping to maintain bullet integrity during penetration.
The VOR-TX LR range is developed to provide reliable terminal performance across a broad range of impact velocities, making it suitable for hunting where shots may be taken at varying distances. The 129-grain .270 Winchester load combines the established performance of the .270 Winchester cartridge with Barnes’ LRX bullet design.
