Lapua recommends a 1-12″ twist rate. Most factory .308 Win rifles come with a 1-10″ or 1-12″ twist, either of which will stabilise the 167gr Scenar without issue.
Is this round suitable for hunting?
The Scenar is an Open Tip Match bullet designed for target shooting. It is not recommended for use on game — look at Lapua’s Mega or Naturalis range for hunting applications.
Can the brass be reloaded?
Yes. Lapua .308 Win brass is widely regarded as some of the best available for reloading, offering consistent neck thickness and case life across multiple firings.
How does the 167gr Scenar compare to the 155gr load?
