US 869 was built for one thing: pushing heavy bullets fast.
Originally developed for the 50 BMG, it turns out this dense spherical powder has a lot more to offer. Load it into your 7mm Rem Ultra Mag, 300 Rem Ultra Mag, or 30-378 Weatherby and you’ll notice straight away — it meters cleanly, fills the case properly, and leaves very little to complain about on the velocity screen.
Where it really earns its keep is at 1,000 yards. Pair it with a 750–800 grain projectile in a 50 cal BMG and you’ve got a combination that’s hard to beat for both speed and consistency downrange.
Big case? Overbore cartridge? Heavy bullet? This is the powder you’ve been hunting for.
