The 158-grain weight is the traditional .38 Special choice. It leaves the barrel at 755 fps and carries 200 ft-lbs of energy at the muzzle, a mild, controllable recoil that suits new shooters, long practice sessions and anyone working on trigger control. The flat nose punches clean, easy-to-read holes in paper, and the full metal jacket keeps lead exposure down and your barrel cleaner than bare lead loads.
